Vitamine B2(Riboflavin)

Riboflavin is the component of flavin-nucleotide, that are in function of prosthetic enzyme oxido-reduction group, known as flavoproteins. This vitamine is necessary for normal growth. 

Deficiency is rare and it is connected for slow growth and feeling of weakness.
It is not known whether increased energy needs that exist at sportsmen involve need for bigger B2 vitamine intake. Till now no deficit of this vitamine at sportsmen is found. Studies where vitamine B2 was used as a supplement, at top swimmers and other athletes, didn’t show significant effect on performance.
Recommended daily amount(RDA) is 0,6mg/1000 kcal. Good sources of B2 vitamine are: liver, egg, green vegetables, wheat germ, milk, cheese and yeast.
